How to Build Authentic Engagement on Social Media and Connect With Your Followers

Are you a content creator who posts content consistently, gets some likes, but there is just something missing? Well, social media was a few years ago, and now it is not the same. The novelty that people get in the beginning days of social media and now is completely different. There were not as many creators and content users engaged with, and they were actually more likely to follow creators whose content they enjoyed. Nowadays, your content needs to be 10 times more engaging for someone to follow you, as they don't want to miss your posts. Putting the algorithms into the equation makes everything much harder. I've been creating content for over 10 years and can relate to your struggles more than you can imagine. So I'm here to help. By the end of this blog post, you will have practical strategies to get real social media engagement that feels personal and sustainable.

Batch Content Creation: How to Film and Edit 20 Reels in One Day

Creating short-form content doesn’t have to be a time-consuming nightmare. Whether you’re running a skincare page like I do or creating content in a different niche, mastering the art of batching can save you countless hours. I used to spend days planning, filming, and editing, but now I can whip up 20 reels in just a few hours. Let me show you how!

Step 1: Gather Inspiration

The first step is to get inspired without getting overwhelmed because you don't have any content filmed. I like to scroll through Pinterest and Instagram, saving content ideas that catch my eye and then brainstorming ideas. Think of it as creating a mood board for your next batch of content. You’ll be surprised how quickly ideas start to flow when you’re intentional about finding inspiration.

Step 2: Plan Your Content

Once you have a solid stash of ideas, it’s time to plan your content. For my skincare account, I start by taking a quick look at my product stash to see which items I haven’t reviewed yet. I write down the product names and brainstorm a few routine combinations. Then, I open Notion to organize everything—keeping track of what I’ve filmed and what still needs to be shot. This step helps me stay on top of my content schedule without feeling overwhelmed.

Step 3: Set Up Your Filming Space

Efficiency is key when you’re batching content. I use my Canon EOS R8 camera to get high-quality shots, but honestly, your phone works just as well if you have good lighting. Make sure your setup is consistent, so you’re not wasting time adjusting settings every few minutes.

Step 4: Batch Film Like a Pro

Now it’s go time! Dedicate one or two days to filming your content. This way, you’re in the zone and don’t have to worry about constantly switching from filming to editing. Keep your scripts short and snappy, and don’t stress about perfection. The goal here is volume without sacrificing quality.

Step 5: Edit Efficiently

After filming, I use CapCut desktop to edit everything. I recommend either editing right after filming or dedicating another day to it. This way, you’re staying in the right mindset and not stretching the process over too many days. Use templates to speed up editing and maintain a consistent style.

Pro Tip: Stay Energized and Motivated

Batching content can feel draining, but staying hydrated, taking breaks, and keeping your space tidy helps a lot. Also, put on some upbeat music or a podcast to keep the vibe going.

By dedicating just a few hours to batching, you’ll save so much time in the long run. Plus, having content ready to go means you can focus on engaging with your audience rather than scrambling to create new posts. Try it out and see how much more productive you can be!
